Little White Lies is an international film magazine, but it isn't like any other. For one thing, it has no glossy film stills, no actor head shots, and no starred reviews. In fact, while they do have reviews, some of those chosen are decades old.

Instead, this magazine, which feels like a high quality zine, is all about the love of film and those who make it. Each issue is on one recently released film. There are essays, interviews and discussions, quirky lists, and whatever else they can think up. Fully illustrated with hand-drawn art, the articles move along quickly and are fun to read. The back half always has reviews, which are just as quirky as the rest of the writing, and they are a mix of new releases - mostly smaller films - and older but perhaps forgotten gems. Packed with content and color, it is a treat for the eyes and hands. Great stuff!
