Banana is a magazine about Asian, and Asian-Western culture. They give voice to everyone from singers to comics, artists to chefs, grandmas to kids, as they explore Asian cultures from Korea to Japan, China to Vietnam, melding with US, UK and Australian cultures. They don’t take things too seriously, as the name suggests - Banana being something of a racial slur among Asians - and they definitely have some fun. Pages are colorful, packed with images, and full of excellent, and enlightening, content. This is a great addition to the Indie mag scene, indeed.
