High Country News

High Country News is a monthly news magazine dedicated to reporting on issues concerning the West. They are quite the rarity these days - a non-profit, reader-supported newsroom! Based out of Colorado, and covering all of the Western United States, they dig into issues ranging from water and land rights, to native tribal concerns, to climate change and endangered species, to the issues around the urban/rural divide. Their journalism is original and award-winning.
