Tape Op is a small, interesting magazine based out of Portland. In publication since 1996, it can be seen hanging out in good recording studios across the world. Each issue features a half-dozen or so long interviews with producers, engineers, and the musicians who have a hand in recording the music we enjoy. These are often the people behind the names you know, but the albums we love wouldn’t exist without them. An under the radar gem. Give it a try!
